Default Any down side to hard lines

I have a Nitro Dave's 58mm LT1 plate system and I really like the clean look of hard lines running from the noids to the plate. Is there a down side to using hard lines?

I can bend them myself, and will be able to mount everything, I just wondered if the hard lines have any effect on the nitrous system?

Thanks,
Brad

Other than the Cost For a Good 37/45* flare tool and Tight Radius Bender not really.

Make sure you get Quality Tube nut's and sleeve's

I already have a good flaring tool and bender so if that's the only downside, then I'm good to go.

Thanks !

Yes, just make CERTAIN the flare tool is specifically not for brake lines and typical 45* flares. AN style fitting require the 37* flare to seat properly and to seal. Hate to see you bend evrything assemble and then leak all over the place!

Thanks for the heads up. I decided to dig my flaring tool out and double check, Bummer, it is the 45* one. Looks like I need a new tool !!

Thanks again guys !! No doubt that saved me a lot of hassle.

Brad

Not True,

All the Nitrous Vendors Jumped in on this one, I had the same question a few weeks ago.

The only down-side is they look so good its criminal! You probably have to deal with smokin hot chicks thowing themselves at you constantly because of the hard lines. I know I have that problem since I hardlined my directport anyway.

Oh, and a 45deg flaring tool works just fine.

Why can't you make any 90* turns?

I got (4) 90° in my fuel hard line works great, been tested to a 150 shot. Vinny redid them in Black...and I am getting a Black fuel noid from Dave to make everything uniform.

My Brake lines have multiple 90* bends and have no problem what so ever either. You just need a Good bender than can make a tight Radius bend anything iin the .5-.75 radius bend will work great.

The N20 and Fuel I do Stainless, the purge since they are usually so long, i'll use regular brake line.
I agree with you about the look of copper lines, not very professional looking.

Those installs look fantastic. Definitely encourages me to do the same with hard lines !!

More girls throwing themselves at me ? I don't know if I can take it.

I know my wife goes crazy when I pop the cars hood !! And I don't even have the N2O installed yet !!

I'm pretty sure she's really into the engine, why else would she be shaking her head whenever she comes out to the garage to see me !!!

I'm going to look into a 37 degree flare and see what I find. Hopefully it won't be an issue finding one and I'll just use the correct tool.

Thanks for the help guys,
Brad

Aircraftspruce.com has cheap 37 degree tools. Use a 37 degree tool. Even though many have had luck using 37 and 45 degree stuff...other have had issues. I have had many leaks..especially with stianless lines.
