New to the Jug!........?s Currently, I'm hooking 10.87 @ 123.10, 1.46-60' with a N/A Built 347.
This is at 3740 lbs
I'm running a Built 347 with Coated Pistons and Valves, AFR 225's with 2.05/1.60 valves,
Moser 9" with 3.70s, FLT Level 5 Tranny with a Yank SS4000 Extreme Converter on 275/50/15 M/T DRs (26")
I'm getting ready to Bottle Feed it with a 200 Shot through a FJO-Maxim-II Progressive Controller
and a Dedicated Fuel System. My Shift Points are currently @ 7200 and the Rev Limit is at 7400 (Morel Lifters).
I'm not going to Launch on the Jug but it'll be kicking in WOT +.5
Also on a Foot Brake.
Any Ideas on the outcome of this type of setup?
Will I run out of gear?
Would I need to go with a Taller Tire.. 28" ?
Currently I'm crossing the Traps @ 6350-6450

You might be ok with gearing and 26" tires if you zing it to 7200-7400 through the traps(140mph minimum/143max is my guess). Traction and consistancy will be better with 325's but you will not be so perfectly geared and it may be .1-.2 slower from what I've seen. Trial and error isn't so costly with tires/gears so give it a try. Worst case is doing 28's and spraying a bit more just because you can.
