How much timing to pull for 150-200 shot

Default How much timing to pull for 150-200 shot

THe car is a H/C with a MS4. It was tuned on the dyno and the af is spot on. All i should have to do to add the spray is pull timing corect?
If so how much should i pull for a 150-200 shot?
What are some good recomendations?

depends on what fuel your using but a good rule of thumb is 1 to 1.5 degrees per 50hp I pulled 2 degrees per 50 hp on mine because of the horrible fuel and heat we have in AZ. The way I see it is I loose an additional 10hp on motor but the added safety is well worth it to me

One degree per 50shot you say? So how much hp do you lose on motor with every degree of timing you pull?

i think i will pull 8 degrees then for the 200 shot. safty is good for me to.

I pulled 10 degree's(to be safe for testing) for a so called "150 shot" on the dyno and the car made 200hp running pig rich 11.0 AFR. On nitrous you don't always loose hp when pulling timing.

Its a tradeoff you will loose power when your on motor but its worth it on the juice

Not if you use a timing tuner it won't. Keep your timing on motor and only pull it on the bottle. They work great

I love my timing tuner, only bad stories I've heard were when people melted the wires on exhaust.
