Could be a # of things. I would check o2 sensors and or wideband radings.

Scan it and see what code it is. I think it's Autozone that will scan it for free.

I had the same thing happen to me. Got my LT's installed....car drove great....then while cruising around randomly....it seemed to misfire like a bitch.....then the car went crazy lean....then drove fine after. Check engine light on and everything....ended up being a bad O2 sensor.

Thats exactly whats happening to me...all started after i threw on the LTs. But seems to be running fine all day today..its a soft code cause when i undo the neg battery ground it goes away. we will see what happens i guess.

Sometimes the codes are not always right, just to let you know. We had a car at the shop that was throwing numerous codes, cam sensor, crank sensor, maf sensor codes, and a random misfire. The car would run only if you gave it gas, and it turned out being a clogged catalytic. We cut the cat out and it ranned perfect. Go figure...

My car throws a lean code and starts running rich and backfiring, I believe it's the O2's but I haven't gotten a chance to replace them....good luck..
