Default Stand alone system

Has anyone built their own? I was thinking about doing it and wanted some opinions and some pics of those who have done it.

I may end up just buying one from Nitrous Dave or another vendor but I wanted to see if I could build one for a little cheaper since I'm on a budget and I already have an extra pump laying around..

I know a guy who spent over 2 grand on his direct port but for the fuel system he used a auto zone univesal coolant jug for the tank and hooked up a holly blue to it it. WTF It worked though.

here is mine

Wow, that is a chrome hood. It IS the part of a Corvette that is completely steel, so it makes sense he would chrome it.

2 things... I wouldn't vent the standalone like that, the race fuel in there will go bad quick doing that, you need to get one of those rollover valves for that. 2nd, what have you got going on with that catch can..... it's not exactly hooked up right. You need to cap the line from the TB to the valve cover, and cap the pcv connection on the intake, then hook up the connection points on the valve covers for the pcv to the can.... doing it the way you have it is letting unmetered air into the motor.

I do like the standalone fuel cell though, could you take a pic of how it'a attached, probably from the back of the engine bay looking foreward?

I'm pretty sure that's just a black hood with a nice coat of wax.

yeah the fuell cell filter is just a temp. thing for now, and i had someone set up the catch can like that for me, and i never looked into it.....but i guess it's wrong . As for the fuel cell, i made a strap braket for it that wraps around it and attatches to the front cross brace, and made another bracket for 1 of the tabs that come on the cell. ill take some pics as soon as i can

and on the typhoon intake .... no i never dyno'ed it before so who knows, but i got it brand new from a guy who never installed it for 200 bucks so i said "what the hell" and it seems to have made decent power considering im using crappy stock 853 heads
