single stage vs dual stage
I am planning on a 402 or 408 build in the near future, currently I am running a stock engine, with good long tubes, exhuast, ls6 intake, racetronix 255l intank pump with hotwire kit. and a 150 single stage wet shot. I already ran a best pass of 11.3. I was going to just do a h/c set up, but with 105k on motor, thought it would be a wise idea to build a stout lower end to handle the juice. I was thinking of stepping it up to a 200 shot with new motor, but i am already almost at the point of needing a roll cage, (witch i dont want to do). I guess my question is if i go with a 200 shot or bigger is a 2 stage setup needed, i spray 150 out of the hole all the time know with no issues. going to a second stage i imagine is not cheap. and i dont race, or even drive the car that much. maybe 7 or 8 times to the track a season. i have a window switch and that seems to make it better out of the hole. Any feedback will be appriciated.
a 2 stage is always great but you can also use a progressive controller with a single stage. Big shots are a little easier to tune in for traction, etc. I am running a progressive controller w/ a 200 shot on a 370 h/c car and i am running 10.30 on a 1.6 60' with stock suspension
how do u use a progressive contoller on a manual car, maybe it is in the stickies, i have not read all of them yet. I would think every time you push in the clutch you reset the system. But i am fairly new to the n20 game.
