13.5 cr puts you in a different category then most. For his case, TR7s are just fine.

I am running 11.2:1 cr and I use the tr6's on a 200 shot and I have never had any problems. I never dynoed on a 200 shot. only a 150 and I made 610 rwhp and 612rwtq. once I get my 12 bolt I plan on doing a 300 progressive shot and I will be using tr7's.

not very much. we've played with my motor on the dyno a bunch, and have found the ET heads do not like alot of timing, and do not like a hot plug at all. I'm currently running #8 plugs with my n/a tune, with about 20 degrees of timing, running 112/114 torco fuel

I'm gonna start off small with the nitrous when I get it on the car (100 to 150 to start) and will probably put the timing to 14 degrees to start I'm gonna guess, and I will be running the 118 torco NOS fuel once I start spraying the car.

The compression is probably alot of why the colder plug is needed in my case, you guys running stock compression probably can get away with alot more, but the idea with my setup was to try to make asmuch power n/a as we could to limit the amount of nitrous it would take to make enough power to run into the single digits. At this point I don't think it's gonna be too hard really, the car has gone 10.69 on motor at 3465 leaving off the footbrake to a 1.46 60 foot. Still has an unported fast intake, stock waterpump and t stat as well LOL. I suspect by next spring when the car starts getting sprayed it will be down to about 3300 and will either have an edlebrock single plane, or at least a ported fast 90 on it, as well as an elec water pump, so it should probably make close to the 470 rw it's making now with the nitrous tune. Actually with the converter tightened up, I bet it makes more, the car has a 5800 n/a comverter in it now. If it does, then I think I'm in good shape.

Im with wayne. Id run a 7 to be safe .but you could try both if you don't loose anything on a 7 than run it. Most guys push things for little reason. Running to much timming, a hotter plug, **** gas,to lean etc when you not loosing anything.

Hell at least a 1 guy in here is on his 3rd motor cause of failure and has hurt other guys motors

slight correction: he's running .2 faster then a car that still has about .4 left in it, simply by going to a faster track and getting the rest of the suspension sorted out... before it gets sprayed.

Chad Rock

My junk has been almost a second faster than your car on pump gas with a smaller motor.

JL ,
quit being so cheap, buy some slicks and see what the car can really do off the brake.
