Thats good to hear. I'm really thinking about spraying a 50 shot just to finally spray. And then go to a 100 shot once i get a tune

Put some 93 in there with those tr6s and you will be fine on smaller shot 100 or less. Don't sweat it.

I have no idea where my timing is and sprayed a whole bottle on 75 shot. Spray and pray!

I don't think you will feel a 50 shot but if you really want to you can always put three gal of unleaded race gas to your tank or maybe unplug your IAT plug from your IAT sensor and insert a 750 OHM resistor into your IAT plug wire to pull a few deg of timing if you really want to be safe.(I would only try this if the resistor fits on the male side of the plug though, you don't want to stretch the spring connectors in the plug).

BTW. this would only be temporary until you get tuned.

This sounds very interesting, I need to read up on this more. I like to be safe

I would start with a 50 HP shot and work my way up. Especially if this is your first kit.

put it on the dyno and see, i would not spray unless it was dynoed on the bottle. i use a mustang dyno because they are loaded, and better for tuning. my car is h/c + 100 shot, 28* timing and has ZERO knock retard. i do have a upgraded pump/wireing, 93 oct. + use a bottle of octanium. my car liked 33* n/a so i pulled 5*, but every car is different

If i get on the dyno i might as well get a tune so i want to do it all in one shot because the tuner isnt that close. I have heard good things about octanium.

Increasing octane will get around the timing issue. And you might as well get everything tuned at once. Good Luck buddy.

Like said above, running an octane booster will get around the timing issue. I'm sure that's why BLAKE 01 WS6 was able to run his timing so high and not have any knock.

And IMHO, running octane booster is cheap insurance and the safest way to go about it until you can get it on the dyno and get it tuned for 91.

There's a place right down the street that sells 100 octane. It's pretty damn expensive though. I've heard it was around 7$ a gallon. But like I said, it's definitely cheap insurance until you get tuned IMO. We should go and see how much it is exactly. I'll try to see If I can find anywhere else that sells 91+ octane in our area for cheaper.

i'd suggest getting 100 octane in there. there's a grip of torco pumps with unleaded 100 octane in the bay area.

when you get on the nitrous, the knock may be audible, so listen close and invest in a radar detector.
