Default Can I spray???

Guys,
I was wondering if i could spray a small shot before i get a tune? My timing is at 28 degrees so i doubt i can spray but i just wanted to double check. I was thinking a 50-75 shot.

What do you think?

I have bolt ons.

I just want to know if my timing is to high to spray a very small shot.

isn't stock timing like 21 or 24* depending on where the car was built? I don't know but I've heard the reason my car was detonating like a bitch was because it may have had more timing than I thought stock... I'd look into that.

i was spraying a 150 shot for a couple weeks before i could get it in there for the tune. i have lid and longtubes with a dry 150 shot. she worked fine for me.... i dont see why that small of a shot should hurt. do you have all the safety switches??

you don't want to advance the timing with nitrous.
if you can switch it back to stock timing, running a 50-75 shot shouldn't be a problem (but keep in mind you'll get knock even with stock timing and no nitrous since we're stuck with 91 octane).

i run 28* on 91 octane also without knock, but i did have to take out a few degrees of timing between 2k-4k rpm from the stock tune.

i used hptuners to back the timing off a bit when the nitrous (dry shot) hits.

Well If he'll get knock, IMO he shouldn't do it at all. Way too risky, especially with 28 degrees of timing. And being limited to 91 octane out here is a set back.

But what size shot are you running?

And did you take out timing from 2K-4K RPM on the stock tune because you got knock?

On my stock LS1 I sprayed to 100 shot w/ 28° after that I had to pull timing to elimate KR, I pulled 3° from 28 up to a 175 shot.

Now I am at 23-24° for 100 shot with my H/C
