Default Used Nitrous System

Got an easy one for ya.

I recently bought a used nitrous system...
What is the easiest way to test that both fuel/nitrous solenoids are working before trying it on the car?
I dont want to bolt it on and find out the fuel solenoid isnt working!

Is there anything else I should be checking with a used system? (just looking for the basics)

Thanks.

with the ignition key on (motor not running) arm the system with the bottle closed. then go under the hood and push the lever for the wide open throttle switch. you should hear both sylenoids click

has anyone ever had any issues with them being clogged? (just something I read on the internet, but never heard of myself)
