200 shot
I used to run juice on my 01 SS & blew it up so I'll never touch the stuff again but I heard a guy saying that he could run a 200 NX wet shot on his bone stock LS1 with no problems. Now maybe that may be true a couple times but how long will that last? I always thought that on a bone stock LS1 a 150 wet shot was tops if you wanted to keep your engine. So what is the deal? Is this guy a moron like I'm thinking or is he right?
I know what your thinking about the guy being a moron.I usually run 150 on my car with pump gas and have had no probs. It also has went 11.20@125 on 150,stock internals with gears and a lid.Now the 200 I have tried to run,but to my misfortune I have the stock pump.So 175 is my max.Not enough fuel to support 200hp on a nx fogger, they(nx) reccomend 10psi of fuel pressure and I've discovered anything above 175hp will not work due to stock pump.
And to answere your question I dont think it would be a prob running 200 if the person has the fuel system to support it,and proper plugs.Just my .02.

Apparently something wasnt right..fuel,timing??
If the fuel system is flowed properly, have the right plugs, timing is correct it should be fine.Ive put a lot of n20 on cast(stock motors) pistons before and never had that kind of a prob.?Maybe I'm just lucky???I'm sure my day is comming

I have been running a 150 NX system and love it. I have also spoken with the main man at NX in Tennessie about a 200 shot on my 02 LS1. He told me that 150 shot on a bone stock LS1 is very safe. As for the 200 shot, he says he does it all the time BUT and I mean BUT, he says you have to run 100+ fuel and absulitly no extra liming, preferably taking a few degress out of the timing. So after talking to him, 200 shot is possible on a bone stock motor if you go the extra mile and us the best fuel and pull some timing out of it, and sniff the car to make sure the air fuel ratio is right (see my posted warning an air fuel ratio in this foram). I aslo belive you will have a fuel pressure problem as I am having that on my 150 shot at this time, which is a qiestion I will post next for some good input from others.
Your already having a fuel prob on 150hp?I have a 02' also and I dont run into a prob until 200hp.I guess thats the diff between some cars???I also spoke with the same people you have and I was told there are guys spraying 250 on stock bottom ends.Whether this is true or not???But I'm putting a t-rex pump in line and gonna up the anti while it's still under warranty.
And see what happens.

Reckless just destroyed his sotck motor on a 200hp shot. As I have said countless times before, a stock bottom end just can not handle that shot even through a fogger.
