If your car was really running that lean you would hear detonation for sure. I would also be very careful and makesure you didn't hurt antyhing.

It could also be something with the wideband, but that is crazy lean.

Its spot on 14.6-14.8 at idle. And its rich in reverse.. I found that to be odd but I should straighten out everything within the month. Wideband is the PLX from the GP on here.

Update, fixed the WB, reads 13.2-13.5 at WOT on factory tune. Had to connect my wiring a little better. Anyway, nitrous guru's still requested for reason as to why I can't run closer to stoich for a little more power, is it for safety reasons only or is there something else?

i think running 14.68afr , it's got something to do with cylinder press.

Yeah it is for safety reason. If you run your car that lean at WOT it will start to kill pistons.

At least 50 years of people going fast with N2O have set up accetable A/F ratio's for certain setups. These years of experiance aren't just shots in the dark. They come from experimenting and blowing up parts mostly the latter.

Lean is mean is a general saying. It should not be interpreted as "run as lean as possible to make the most power."

So what should the mapping be for normal n/a day to day driving and still have it set up well for nitrous without retuning every time I go to the track?

12.7-13.0 N/A and 11.5-12.0 on the bottle. You have to find what your motor likes. It will be slightly different with each motor.
