Thumbs up Few new bests!! need sissy sticks now

well, 1st pass i was about 1" from the bumper, car cam out way hard, and just went right for the bumper. got out of it a bit, set it down easy, back in it and went right back up, droped it easy again and went a 9.9 @ 141

2nd pass made a few suspention adj and the car went a 1.33 60 foot, nice wheelie and went a 9.32 @ 138 shutting the spray off about 1/8th mle to keep from braking out (9.50 class)

3rd run me and timmy got paired up, stupid us we both broke out and lost i went a .45 he went a .49 lol his car was right on with a 9.52, 9.54 then the .49.

so after that i bumped up to the 200 shot, made another suspention adj and went for it with 1 tenth delay in the spray, the car headed right for the sky, i let out just enouph to kill the spray, as it came done, i jumped right back in it, and power wheelied a good 50 feet (thought i was going for the bumper.) ended up with a 1.30 60' (everyone said that was with the rear wheels)
went a 9.17 @ 147.
pretty good day, but i think im finnaly going to have to put on the sissy sticks

you have travel limiters?
I would start with them before wheelie bars

Limiters make a huge difference. I know a guy that runs them and the car leaves perfect...Without them it goes on the bumper violently.

Leave the bars off! They call them sissy bars for a reason! LOL The limiters will help out tremendously! We run a lot of true 10'' and dragradial stuff with NO BARS running low 5s in the 1/8. Put the front shocks/struts all the way tight and set the limiters in the middle to start off with and adjust accordingly.

Listen to what the others are saying, limiters make a huge difference! Your only going to 60' so good at your weight. When you get your front end to stay down the tires will give. I don't think you need the bars. Your going to have to get creative with your starting line tune up! Good luck and nice job!

i know i can keep the front end down without bars, i have done it for years now no problem.
the issue is, i dont want to chance it. id rather put the bars on it, then start tuning my suspention. cheep insurance to me while im getting the suspention sorted out.
i already hit the headers and exhaust on one of my passes because it landed hard. so for 500 bucks id rather throw the bars and limiters on, tune the suspention till the car runs its fastest and not hitting the bars anymore, then i will remove them.

the car has 1.2x 60's in it for sure. it went a 1.30 with a tenth delay and i lifted and it was on the rear wheels.
im doing it for insurance. 500 is cheeper then god knows how much if i slam it down.
im not new to suspention, lol ive been running 1.3x 60's with my car since i had my 346 in it.
for what its worth, first pass i was heading for the bumper
i went back made a few adjustments, and cracked off a 1.33 60 foot with about a 1 foot wheelie (100 shot) but when i put the 200 in it, i went the last 2 clicks tight on the front shocks to try to help, but sticky tires, good track, 4:30 gears and a stout setup just over did the shocks. lol

heres a pick of some 1.3x pass with my old setup.

there are some vids here in this thread. my big wheelie and my 9.1 pass didnt make film, the camera girl fell asleep in the truck.
