Default How long can you run N2O, continuously?

Let's say I wanted to use nitrous for top speed runs only. It would be used in the upper gears only, but I might need to run it for as long as 90 seconds or so.

Is this practical?

I realize you'd go through quite a bit of nitrous, but putting that aside, is this likely (or guaranteed) to cause engine damage?

i cant say on the engine damage. but i know you will need a pusher system to help keep your bottle pressure up. Without it, you will lose bottle pressure in no time and lose lots of HP

be sure to check out NANO nitrous nanonitrous . com

let them know dlove sent ya!

I know my bottle pressure fades when it starts reaching around 125-130mph. I literally feel the power dropping off. The rolls started off at about 30mph. I definitely need nano for the hwy rolls.

I had a 98 V6 Mustang with an automatic, and I had to spray for about that long to get up to freeway speeds...

Spraying that long is going to build a lot of heat in the cylinders, and possibly cause detonation. Which could lead to engine failure. If you have a way to monitor the engine while spraying I would try it. I'm sure you can use a meth injection or something of the sorts to cool the charge.

When spraying that long the ground straps will most likely melt off the plugs. The ground straps glow when you make a typical run. When the are exposed to that much heat for that long they will be gone. Switching to a colder plug wont do any good. My 2 cents, Josh

IMO, dont spray more than 15 seconds. use the no2 to get you up to speed and into 4th gear if your in an a4, then back off it

why 15? bc i see people doing it all the time without to terrible effects, everyone i know that burned their **** up on dry shots, did it on top end runs

Ummm how much of a shot??

I burned up a TR6 plug in about 10 seconds one time. Might of been a mixture problem though.
