Default HCI 03 z06 + how much shot

How much of a shot will a h/c/i 03 z06 hold roughly with a stock fuel pump. I want to spray a 100 shot, but do not know what these pumps will handle.

If anybody has any exp with this, input would be appreciated!.

I may be wrong o this, but I think people routinely spray 100-200 shots on stock LS fuel systems. Your motor will probably handle more than that though, so i'd upgrade the fuel system and hit it with a 250-300 shot.

From what I've heard, a 100 wet shot should be fine on the stock pump with the mods you listed..

I'm going to be spraying a 75 or 100 shot on my TNT kit within the next couple of weeks. Post up your results when you get them!

What jokers you two are. Any kind of shot on a 460+whp h/c car is going to be severely stressing the stock fuel system. Im suprised you haven't been advised to upgrade injectors with your current HP level. Don't put on any type of n2o system without at least injectors and a pump.

I am not really sure, but arent the injectors already bigger in the z06, and the fuel pump as well?

On your setup I would also say injectors and pump before nitrous.

Wait, wait, wait...

You have enough money for a 2003 Zo6 and heads, cam, and intake, but you want to build a N2O system around the stock fuel pump and injectors? What am I missing?

You are missing reading comprehension. No where did I say I want to build the n20 around a stock fuel set up. I asked what it would handle, and mentioned I wanted to spray a 100 shot but do not know what the stock fuel system is capable of. If i do not need to upgrade, then I will not. If i need to, then I will. But if you want to make smart *** remarks, go for it. I am sure that will help me make a decision.

I have 36lb injectors and have been advised the stock pump on a 75 wet hit would be more than fine. If there's not enough fuel for it while it's getting tuned, then we can order a Racetronix kit and be done.

Anyways, I hope to have my results by the end of this week.

I was kind of told the same thing, but I wanted to get some more info before I made any decisions.

I was looking at the LPE pump, as it looked 'ok'.

Whats the deal with the racetronix pumps and how much do they go for?

Also, this is a wet kit (Nx set up).

I should not have to upgrade the injector for a wet kit, correct?

get a Racetronix plug and play.. comes with a pump and new wiring harness.. as far as injectors.. why short yourself? i highly doubt the stock fuel pump and injectors were intended to be used on 467rwhp cars. you dont necessarily need injectors, but upgrade to be safe!

I went to 480rwhp on the stock injectors and fuel pump. Can you, well the only real way to tell is do some logging, including a/f, inj DC and fuel pressure if ya can. If your running out of injector your idc will tell ya. On the spray, if your ok a/f wise at the lower rpms and it starts to lean out going higher then likely your pump is giving out, this is given that the injectors are not allready causing a lean condition. However, the vette pump is generally considered good to 500/550 hp. These guys sayng to just throw a pump in it do not know how difficult this can be on late '03s and '04s (IIRC Racetronics still does not have a kit for these years). You could add a bap and extend your pumps hp range. Or, A&A has a new kit out that adds a second pump outside of the tank pump, a very good option. Here's a link to install. You know that Z06 can hold a whole lot more than a 100 shot, and I have gone to 250rwhp successively on the stock longblock. Don't forget to add your times over at corvetteforum Z06 section sticky for fast times, check it out for insight.

I like how most of the negative responders don't even have nitrous. WTF do they know? I'm spraying 100 wet on stock injectors and fuel pump with no issues whatsoever. However, with HCI, you might consider it. Either way, make sure you have all of the other safety measures (FPSS, WOT, Window switch, etc.). After that, enjoy!
