well that would depend on how fast you are fourth gear runs to what 115ish ??? well then it would be had to cross the traps at 130 with out goin to 5th huh i actually shift into 4th gear in the last few feet of the 1/8th

my car hits the shift light about 125 in 4th at 6700. i switched to a 28" tire for nitrous runs to avoid the 5th gear shift.

you guys that say that you do it all the time and have no problems obviously hve those parameters in the safe zone. maybe your just spraying a 100 shot (no biggie), maybe you are are spraying a 150 on pump gas with a conservative tune and plenty of timing retard. But when asking the question "is it ok the spray in 5th" some people are thinking 200 shots...or 250 shots or even 300+ shots.

So saying "yeah I do it all the time no problem" is not an answer unless you give the details.

Also....are you just popping it in fifth in the 1/4 for a split second...or are you running out to max RPM in 5th in a top speed run? All of these parameters must be known before you can decide if it will be safe for you to spray in 5th.
Thanks for the reply everyone. 383LG4SS -thanks for the great info, I'm only going to spray a 150 shot and I have a good tune and will probably throw some octane at it too. Thanks.

Ya you can mix it a lil bit with 104 and 93 so you dont have to run straight 104.
