Just guesstimating here, but I'd say probably around $1500-2000. Pros, correct me if I'm wrong.

Oh, and a good kit to me is the $500 base kit, WOT switch, window switch, bottle warmer, switch panel (arming/disarming, purge, etc.), at least. I didn't check the prices on all that stuff, but I'd save up around 2000 if possible. Do you have an M6 or A4?

God for 2 grand it better be a direct port kit with a standalone system. I put mine together for around 500 or 600, still need a bottle heater that im picking up used for 65 dollars, and a window switch which i can find used for a good price, so id say 700-800 for top notch products (i.e. plate)

My best guess would be about 1200. That's 1000 for supplies and 200 for the install.

A basic high quality kit is about $500 to $650 depending on whether you are considering wet or dry. Once you starting adding a window switch and purge kit and bottle warmer and remote bottle opener and stuff like that, you could easily be at $1200 if you get all of the fancy goodies.

well the kit i am looking at is the wet MAF kit that replaces the housing on your MAF , it is about 950 by yourself , but then i have to buy the upgrad kit that comes with purge, fuel pressure safety switch, bottle heater, which should be about 350 so thats 1300 already. How much would something like this be to install about 300??? ALso is there any disadvantage or advantage for having the a4 with nos .

when i built my honda kit, nx 6 cylinder direct port kit with 15# bottle was like 700(retails 850), nx nxl rail kit w/ 10# bottle was about 1000, gen x2 kit was like 400, and remote bottle opener was around 250. then i bought a dry nozzle and ran the direct port kit as a computer controlled dry system. so about 2350 not including my aem ems, fuel system, or any motor parts. ahah. i kept it for ***** and giggles in case i ever make a gsr powered go kart.
maf's are lame, go get a speed density tune and run a direct port or tb setup.

Is this the kind of thing were i am going to have to use it alot before it blows something expensive. I am only going to be running a 100 wet shot with the ls1 with air induction and exauhst. I only plan on using this once every month or two. Is my enging going to be able to handle this? See i am willing to pay a little more for a better kit with more saftey measures, so is there kits that are better for the engine than others?

With a wet shot, you need to make sure the fuel pump is good. A fuel pressure safety switch is essential. Should also have a WOT switch and window switch. If you are mounting the tank in the car, you'll need a NHRA approved blow off valve and blow down tube. Not sure which kit you are looking at, but I would not do a MAF kit. For a wet system on a LS1, it's hard to beat a TB plate. Most of the time, a wet system will require a retune, but the good news is you shouldn't need to upgrade injectors. Yes, the LS1 will handle a 100 shot as long as you have the safety stuff and don't run it lean.

Here are a couple of links for decent kits, the first one has more bling bling and can be customized. The second one is a little better quality and is the one I'd recommend. Is this for a F-body? If not, you'll want to find the right kit because I posted links for F-body.

Here is a Nitrous Outlet kit with everything but the kitchen sink and remote bottle opener.

Install it yourself. The hardest thing may be wiring but there are many diagrams on here floating around with installs for different components/accessories. You can easily spend $1k-1500. You buy the basic kit then you end up buying a heater, window switch, maybe a nice bracket, fpss. All the little stuff adds up real quick. Hell I got my kit for free from a good friend of mine and I still ended up spending alot of cash after buying a heater, nicer bottle brackets, window switch, relays, wiring, miscellaneous fittings.

It's worth it in the end though. Instant *** whooping at the push of a button

Installing nitrous is by far the easiest mod i have done so far. Try doing clutch, mounts and header jobs, you can sleep through a nitrous install.
