Default 200 shot stock bottom end, out of the hole

yes i know there are tons of 200 shot threads, and ive been reading for hours. ive been spraying 150 out the hole for a couple of years, have 24* timing, no KR. but i want a 200 shot, im wondering if i should pull some more timing or if i added race gas could i keep the timing or raise it a little. plus is the 200 going to be to much on the motor out of the hole. we are not talking 50 passes, just 2 or 3.

mods in sig.

I ran a 200 shoot spraying a 3000 rpm on my stock short block for 3 plus years. Here is my tune up. 20 degrees of timming. af safe 10.5-11.00 to 1. TR6 plug(probably should have have a tr7 plug) 110-116 octane. Worked great.

I sprayed 225 out of the hole on a cam only LT1 and the motor lives. I would pull two more degrees of timing , if I were you.

Here's what 24* of timing helped do to my stock pistons, a combined 2-stg of 285rwhp, but came on with a 1st stg of about 185, or so.

Deffintly pull some more timming. You are walking on thin ice. What is good more one motor may not be the same for the next. If you are going to push the limits I suggest reading spark plugs while tunning. Watching for knock retard can be misleading. The spark plugs tell all.
