Default bottle quantity?

do i loose any performance from the shot [150] if i just refill when the bottle gets to 3 to 4 lbs. or do most of you just dump the last bit and start from scratch? i'm running a 15lb jug.

i've always used the remaining nitrous inside to chill the bottle before filling, it;s its 1-2lbs who cares open the sucker up and watch the bottle temp drop, no need to stick it in a freezer before filling.

thanks for the replies!! i was told that a full bottle contains about 70% liquid and 30%gas nitrous, if you have say 3 to 5 lbs left and fill on top of that ,how is this ratio affected? and in turn maybe, would you end up with more gas than liquid?.

It is a liquid under pressure and turns to gas as it is released.

If ya just keep topping off at some time it needs to be bled down to 0. Everytime you refill some non N20 gets in the bottle. I like the idea of using the remaining couple pounds to chill bottle.
