Default Ring Gap for 150-200 shot

I am putting a 347 together and need to gap my piston rings.

I plan to run a 150 shot, later moving up to a 200 once I get a couple other supporting mods.

Does anyone know what ring gap I should run?

Car is a street car.

There is usually a sheet with your pistons or rings. I cant remember off the top of my head, maybe .26/.28 for around a 200 shot.

I am using some Akerly & Childs extreme gapped to .026 both but a friend of mine is using some Hellfire and he's got .028 for both, thats what the rings sheets had on them so stick to your ring type and if you dont have it you shouldn't have any problem between .026-.028

Very interesting, can we hear more? Am always interested in something new that may be beneficial in some way.

Just for insight, I went .028 top and .021 second, though this is for a 300 shot and no consideration for the street. These are C/A Dura Molly rings. A good engine builder can guide you, as well as Brad, but the rec that come with rings are just that, and not an absolute. Meaning you certainly can vary gaps depending on your goals/needs.
