Default Question about a 300 shot on forged bottom end??

I'm putting a direct port on my car and planning to shoot about 300.My question is with that big of a shot are you gonna have to have a stand alone fuel system.I've already have a racetronix pump but will that be enough?

i honestly don't know the answer to this, but why not start on a smaller shot and step it up 25-50 at a time to see where things start to max out?

I'm going to put it on a dyno first so i guess it would tell me if the engine was starving.I just thought i would ask bevore i spent all my money and then needed it.

you'll either need twin in-tanks or a standalone, i assume youre looking for at least 750wheel correct?

I really doubt it's gonna put down that much. It's just a 346 with a good bottom end.

hey Im doing the same set up on a 408 direct port on a fast 90 you are going to have to have a standalone tank for sure Im just doing a tnt f2 kit with a 150 shot and a intank walbro 250 and at the top end im losing fuel pressure also you are going to have to have at least 36 lb injectors and go to a different spark plug I think its in the faq section tr8 or tr7 good luck will let you know my progress too.

Worlds longest sentence!

I have a 408 with a plate kit on a carb style intake. It has a walbro 255 pump in ack and a 255 pump in the standalone up front. If you go with a shot larger than a 200 on a single stage, you might want to invest in a direct port vs a TB style plate. Distribution at that amount will cause the #7 and #8 to run lean on fuel with a wet kit. An 8 plug should be fine. It might be cheaper to run a standalone vs the dual pump kits. You can get a pretty nice standalone from Jegs and pick up an inline or intank pump for it for pretty cheap.

i got a stand alone fuel system for the big shot (250) and the booster for the motor & 2nd (50)stage ( if needed) . I like to OVERKILL.

You really need a stand alone fuel cell if your going to spray that much. Your in tank will not hold up to fuel demands.

I would add a stand alone. The ability to run the c16 and the gain in tunning ease is a great factor alone.
