Discussion is nitrous for me? I got an 02 Trans Am. Cam (torquer v3 + all supporting mods), headers, full boltons, full suspension, m6 (textralia cluch and rebuilt), stock rear. It is my summer street/strip car.
I ran 12.7@116 with 275 gs-d3's and my stock clutch which was slipping like crazy, havent tried the new setup but i expect a nice drop in et. My goal for the car is to get into 11s. Next goal would be to take down a c6 z06.
I want to get a dynotune nitrous kit and probably spray 100-125 wet.
For me the cam is awesome on the street but im gonna need a bit more power to hit my goals. I think nitrous would be awesome when i come across something on the street that i cant touch on the motor. I priced out all accessories and stuff and figured i could get a solid setup with all safety and some fueling upgrades for under 1000$. I think ~500rwhp is worth it.
I am worried that i wont be able to activate it fast enough when i need it on the street, a friend told me that the heaters take like 5 mins to heat and what not. I am gonna mount it on the rear tunnel so i should be able to open it by hand. I plan to get a good nitrous controller.
I am also worried about the rearend. I will upgrade to a 9 inch eventually but I cant do it just yet. I dont plan on spraying during shifts and on the launch, will my rear end be ok for at least a lil while?
I have hptuners + wideband + tr-6''s sittin around so i can take care of tuning and that already.
I can afford nitrous, i cant afford a turbo/sc setup, i dont see heads getting me the power I am looking for and the heads id get are out of my budget as well.

I think you would do just fine with a 75-100 shot, i see your on a budget so this would probably be your best bet. Going with that small of a shot and adding saftey features like a window switch will go a long way in perseving that rear. Although i would start saving up for a 9 inch or something you can beat up on.

Better get your clutch sorted out as your first goal, it'll never hold with the added torque. Other than that, many run the spray with the 10bolt, just take it easy, lol. DT or Harris offer great kits that are quality and priced very well. I do like the option that Harris has with regards to trick hose selection, if that matters to you. good luck

Your car better eat it's Wheaties, as the stock C6 Z06 is going into the 10.x's with just DRs and a good driver.

Thanks for the good words! A great feature of our lines also is the ability to screw them directly in to the solonoid. No need for extra fittings and a less appealing install. But sorry we will not supply them in rainbow colors for you
Sounds like you have a pretty good grasp on things. Make sure to run the needed safety devices and tune the car and you should have tons of fun safely.
If you have a six speed and stock rear just do not launch hard on sticky tires and you should be ok. Expect it to brake and if it does not good deal.

I agree they both are great. I did go with Harris because I wanted the black lines with the black fittings, but I also have a lot of DT and Daves supporting parts. Cant go wrong with any of them!

SRAY IS A BLAST the harris kit is a very nice kit im very pleased with it and for your rear its a timebomd mine didnt go till i put et streets on it but that dosent mean youll have the same luck just be preparyed to pay if you wana play
