Default Legalness of NOS

Hi there,

I'm new to the board, and well I have a couple of questions, cause I know I guy here in Switzerland who sais that NOS is illegal in all staates of the USA and that it doesn't do you any good and of course that there are no cars tuned up the way you would see im in the movies (aKa 2 fast 2 furious).

Ok will first of all does anyone know in which staates NOS is legal?

How much more does it give your vehicle?

And is anyone from you in the street racing scene and can you maybe tell me how the cars are.

This would really help me back up my theory against that guy.

Best Regards

Yes illegal for use on public roads.

It gives yoru vehicle as much as you jet it, or nearly. If you have a stock LS1 and add a 100shot of N2O, then you might have anywhere from 370rwhp to 410rwhp, depends on what your starting with, the mods to the car, and all that.

Not into Street racing, not only illegal but damn STUPID!

Havent watched 2F2F, but my car really liked the 150shot!

Street racing may be but when the nearest track is a 4 hour drive away... Well it would just be wrong for me to not clean out those injectors somewhere so the street it is .

In CA it is not illegal to have N20 in the car. But it can not be connected. So you can have N20 but if pulled over the bottle has to be discontected and your good to go.
Nitrous adds as much as you want. Baby kits are from 25 to 150 hp shots. The big boys play with 300 and up shots.
Yes there are cars on the street scene built and tuned for nitrous. My car is getting the N20 and I expect to be right around 500 rwhp once tuned. Now the movie was stupid as hell and it is not like the real world.
BTW I no longer street race. I keep it on the track so I have no worries about keeping the N20 in my car.
