Help Critique my New DRY Timing Pull Write-Up
Robert56 Dry Timing Pull How-To
Robert
OK,
1. Line 6 under premise..."But." is not a sentence

Looks great I understood it. You going to cover the resistor trick as well, for those with out tuning software?

no "-". A "how-to" is an indication of a document explaining how to do something. You are simply stating how to do it, not referring to the article here.
2. "..any tuner program" should be "any tuning program". Tuner is a person who tunes.
3. "So for instance, calculated.." should be "So, for instance, calculated".
4. "select 26* degrees" The * and "degrees" are redundant.
5. "I do this by selecting the none needed columns in the lettered box at top and deleting them" I know what you mean here, but it is unclear. Perhaps "selecting the columns not needed.."
6. "in HP Tuner (below)" The program name is "HPtuners".
7. "however, because of my glitch I was" should be "however, because of my glitch, I was.."
8. "excel" should always be capitalized. Most are.
Now, having written all that, I have to say that it was pretty straight forward the first time I used it. I followed the instructions and it worked perfectly. I just changed my plugs for the first time since I installed the n20 (4 bottles ago) and they looked perfect. It was a shame to throw them out.
Thanks Robert.
as a side note/story... I was playing with another vette a few weeks ago. I all I knew was that it was also A4 but I knew he had headers/intake/borla x exh. I was surprized when we jumped on it and I wasn't pulling him. It was almost dead even... until the top top end where he actually was pulling me a little (very little, but did). When we stopped and talked, I found out he had a 125 dry shot. LOL... not end of story though.. So we laughed about it. I figured his 125 shot and headers were equivalent to my 150 shot... when he told me... he also had a LS6 motor but never tuned his n2o. Bahahaha
Tuning is your friend.

Now on to the nit picking:
1 Isn't the How-To in the lead statement referring to the following document?
2 Busted, however, I think tuner is becoming slang for a few different meanings?
3 I think it can be either way as an introductory statement, So for instance, or So, for instance. i think it's up to the author. where's my beautiful English teacher when I need her.
4 Yep, got me hear for sure, redundant it is.
5 This is what I mean, it may make sense to me, but if it's unclear to a gear head like you, it prob does need attention.
6 Busted again, thanks.
7 Busted once again
8 Busted, yes all trade marked names should be capitalized.
Thanks a bunch though, these are the issues that need to be addressed.

18°, hehehe, 14°, man that's great, I never knew this.

Edit: Thanks Al for the nice words, now where is my 85mm Dry plate?

If it was "This write up is a how-to on pulling timing.." then, yes I would agree. A "how-to" is a noun whereas "how to" is a verb.
2. Correct, and I understand the usage. Not grammatically correct. Just getting my degree in geekness. How did I do?
Beer is probably fast asleep by now.. out in the storms. ewwww.
edit: on second thought.. You're in the middle of some sht weather too!!
