Adding a second stage ? LT1 with 355-370rwhp depending on the day and converters. With a 125shot it went a best of 11.08. Spraying from 4k to 6k because of the stock trans. Shifts at 6300. Now this is a stock shortblock with 30k on it. I plan on lowering the nitrous (on) point, to 3200, to help flash the Yank 3600 higher. Plus leaning it out since it's flat lined at 10/1 a/f ratio.
My question is, would a small second stage (50hp) once into second gear, with the rpms higher be dangerous?
Thanks for any input. And yes, I know that I'm getting into the "danger Will Robinson zone."

for the cost involved with adding a second stage...you could just run a progressive and leave it on a single stage. I will add the "I would not suggest going over 150" here.
A 150 shot hit out of the hole will be a different animal than a 125 brought in down track.
If you choose to go over 150 you will need to get the A/F dialed in and verify by reading the plugs that your tune is spot on. When you start going bigger whether it is a single or dual stage...if you have an issue the consequences become much more severe.

I love 2 stage with 100 hp out of the hole with a delay timer for stage two of 50 hp. Any nitrous shot needs some tranny mods. Like billet servo's, shift kit & some better & more disc also 2nd gear band upgrade at least & nitrous anti ballooning stall. Colder plugs NX octane booster or some 100 octane. Then hit it out of the hole & through shifts. Trans is first to go.
