Default Whats the biggest nitrous shot to run without a tune

How big can I go without a tune safely? Weather its a dry or wet shot, doesn't matter. I'm just wondering. Thanks

^ Thank you.

I was also curious to the answer for this question, but no one ever wants to help out. They all just like to freak out and tell you to search. Why bother posting anything anymore? Might as well just keep the search option and get rid of any option to start new threads.

Thanks guys. 150 seems kinda high though w/out a tune. I was only planning running a 125 with a tune but if 150 is safe then 125 should be as well.

BTW, I read the stickies that made since that this info would be under but couldn't find it.

You cannot tune a car for nitrous, the only thing you can do is retard timing to prevent detonation. When you get it dyno-tuned they will tune it to run as good as it possibly can on motor and then they will slowly retard the timing while they spray. I have an A4 Z-28 with a 150 shot....it's a wet shot so I don't really have to worry about leaning it out. If you run a simple dry shot then I would keep it at 100 hp. I have a TNT 150 HP dual nozzle wet system. It's the best nitrous kit I have used yet. If you are gonna go with a 150 HP wet shot then I would invest in a Kenne Belle Boost-a-pump or a high flow fuel pump. Good Luck. -Tom.
