Default 2 Stage, Dry-Wet Kit?

Hey guys,

I have the NOS plate wet kit. Robert56 convinced me to spray out of the hole...probably 150shot.....so when my trans eventually explodes, he said he'd pay for it

(this winter I'm prepping the suspension etc for this off the line, so nevermind that)

But should I be worried about launching with a wet kit? Puddling? I'm using a 2-step so I will be launching and dumping the clutch at 5000+ RPMs.

Stock block, MS3 cam....I figured 150 is about as high as I can go...or should go...so I'll launch with 150 outa the hole.

Should I use a dry setup out of the hole to switch over to a wet kit? Or will I be okay?

Unless you bog launch, it shouldn't be a problem. With that said, I would do the dry first, to pull some timing in the tune (wet can't do that) and you'll never have to worry about the bog launch issue. Then the wet can come in at a little higher rpm once moving, much safer imo.

can't I just pull timing with my timing tuner?

Or if I get the new HSW controller or NOS controller?

Yes you can. If you also use our Interface you can set it up so more timing is pulled when the second stage is activated (instead of pulling X amount of timing for both stages and not always using that second stage), plus you can install the dry nozzle where ever you'd like to.

I would use the Dry first as well. You should not woory about any puddling unless your tune up is so fat that the car is drowning from trying to digest the fuel. Yes the timming tuner can remove the timming as well if you want to keep is simple. If all you are spraying is a 150 shot keep it to one stage and invest into supsenion. No reason to over complicate the set up for only a 150 hp gain.

^^kind of my thinking. I'm not spraying that much...or at least in the world of 2-stages

Now I have to do some looking into the HSW and NOS controllers...see the pros/cons of each and what one would work best for me...
