QUESTION Is nitrous oxide flammable?

ANSWER Nitrous Oxide by itself is non-flammable. However, the oxygen present in nitrous oxide causes combustion of fuel to take place more rapidly.

Taken straight from the Holley.com website. Nitrous oxide is not flammable. The only danger really is the massive amount of pressure that is in the bottle if it were to get hit or punctured.

if the bottle in the front of the car did explode then it would "remove" any material (radiator, electrical, plastic, and metal) within about a 3 ft radius of the location of the bottle. i'm not saying it's good or bad to have it up there, but it is what it is.
