Default Help with Injectors/Fuel Pump

So for Christmas I got money to get my Vette tuned. The problem I am having is I want to bump up to over 500whp. My car is tuned for the mods and a 50 shot. Off spray the car made 390whp but I don't remember on spray what it was. So I will probably bump up to a 100 or 125 shot but need to know where to get the injectors and fuel pump (also is the fuel pump inside the gas tank)?

So using Roberts website I found this formula
(Projected Crank HP x .55) / (8 x .8) = Inj Size
(600 x .55) / 6.4 = 51.5625

So I guess I would need 52lb injectors, and where can I get them? I never have replaced injectors so I don't know what the good/bad brands are.

Also what kind of fuel pump will be needed, and how many gph?

Im guessing if you used Roberts website, your running a dry shot ?

If your running a wet shot, your stockers will be ok for a 100 shot

I did use his website to get some basic info but I am using a Nitrous Outlet Plate system. Oh and I have all the mods in my sig, will the stocker's still be okay then?

Snice you are running a wet shot you dont need to replace the injectors and typically the stock C5 pump is good to about 550, but if you still want to a pump the Racetronix is a nice unit and is pretty easy to install. Those formulas are for dry shots as the injectors are where the extra fuel comes from.

42's will work fine with a dry shot. I got my injectors from HSW. 99's do have the smaller 26# injectors.
Harris Speed Works Injectors and Pumps

62% IDC with 417 RWHP NA and a 50 shot dry/50 shot wet, for 525 total to the wheels (w/ Delphi 42's).
106% IDC with 300 RWHP NA on a stock motor and 75 dry shot for 363 total to the wheels (w/ Stock 26# injectors).

Lot of guys will tell you to go Green Top Injectors (Ford) and tell you Delphis are hard to tune, I went Delphi's and installed and tuned them myself with EFI live, was not hard at all (first time tuning and swapping injectors), and the car runs great (hot and cold wx in Maine). Matt @ HSW was really helpful with the injector selection and double checked my injector tune tables for me.

Stock fuel pump I sprayed to 466 RWHP (combined 50 shot dry 125 Wet Plate on stock motor) with no issues. Running a Racetronics now (got from Dave and the boys at Nitrous Outlet). Fuel pump is in the drivers side tank. Here is a decent how to for the fuel pump swap:

Even though your going wet, just for information purposes. The math is really conservative for safety matters and to meet the 80% max duty cycle rule. I have run over 600rwhp with the 42's, however, we rec Ford SVO 42's because they are rated at Ford's 45psi fuel pressure, and at our 60psi they become 47lb'ers, my duty cycle was about high 70% low 80%. We can go over the 80% rule with no issues and have seen the SVO 42s support over 700rwhp. Pump, i would do as Beer suggested, and have also, Racetronics pump and hot wire kit, good to about 600rwhp and 700rwhp if going reg and return at the rails. good luck and keep us updated. search for the Z06/C5 install pic thread for ideas and add yours.
