Default quick question: VP C12 fuel ok?

just picked up 10gallons for 80 bucks from a motorcycle racing shop by my house just for laughs.

just to double check: is this safe for my car? it is unleaded so seems like it wont mess up my 02 sensors or but want to make sure before i pour it in

thanks!

Probable just like more timing maybe 4 to 6* depending on compression.

That's interesting, I guess I always thought that C12 was leaded. Learn something new every day.

Hmmmmm I thought the highest you could get in VP unleaded was 109. You might want to go back a check the label. If it is unleaded then you need to watch out for vapor locking your motor unless your on a *** load of juice or running some serious compression.

was just thinking of mixing it half and half with normal 91 pump gas for some added safety when running the juice, i only run a 100 shot, if its not safe then no big deal i just wont run it, was just looking for some more insurance when spraying, you think i'll be fine if i mix it 50/50 with normal gas?

vapor locking??! never heard of doing that on race gas?? would you mind giving me a short explanation or a link to more info or something?

that sounds bad...

I ran some 112 mixed with 93 in my Camaro last time at the track, car was running okay, I kept the ratio like 3:1 unleaded to leaded...

I run it in my nitrous motor just fine mixed with 93 pump. With 5 gallons of 93 and 3 gallons of C12 it works out to 98.625 octane. I use it for up to a 200 shot but I have a buttload of timing pulled. Here is a link that may help you with your octane questions. http://www.racefuels.com/compchart.htm Hope this helps.

I ran 11:1, stock cubes, 150 wet shot, and stock timing, ran fine.

I am sure you had a good deal more camshaft than I do. Mine is 10.8:1 but the camshaft is only 221@.050 as such I pull 8 degrees and up the octane a touch. Better to be safe than sorry.

I am running a 240/244//112 cam. I'd probably pull 4-5 degrees if I did more logging.

Just dont run a large quantity of it at a time, then your going to fry your sensors.

THe mix should be fine though.

not to beat a dead horse here guys but i just talked to the guys at nitrous express about some other questions and brought this up too, the guy said it doesn't matter how, that if i mix ANY of this in, then i'll mess up both my Fuel Injectors and my O2 sensors, but here it looks like it everyone has run this stuff mixed with normal unleaded gas?!??

have any of you guys done this over and over? really dont want to mess up my car when what im' trying to do is to keep it from breaking!

thanks
