Default Can Nitrous Go Bad/Stale? If so How long does it take?

I have a bottle I had filled roughly a year ago and has sat full in my garage for a little less than a year, does nitrous go bad after sitting for a long period of time.

Does it degrade or breakdown or loose it's effectiveness or chemical structure? I've cracked the bottle open a few times screwing around and a very nice white cloud comes out just like a year ago.

Will I harm anything by running this bottle through my motor?
