Default First spray Help

hello all Iam new to the nitrous world and have a few quick quesstions, about two weeks ago I hooked up a TNT F1 power ring setup on my 2003 Vette I only have it set up for a 75hp shot right now. but have yet not sprayed the car, I have a FPSS an MSD window switch (set from 3000rpm to 6000 rpm) a wide open throttle switch ,along with NGK TR6 plugs gapped to .35 , and a purge solinoid...... So here is my quesstion I want to try this out ,I have allready checked all the electronics and all are functioning properly. the only thing is my timing is set to 28* will I be ok to spray at 28* or is it to high and will cause damage??? I dont want to keep it there I will get a timing tuner so I can have the best of both worlds. but right now I will be a little while before I might be able to get the timing pulled back. Just want to try it out. thanks for any and all help.

If that's stock timing, you should be fine on a 75 shot. If it's advanced at all, then set it back to stock or retard it 4 deg from stock before spraying.

Good luck!

No the timing has been raised with a tune, but stock I belive is 26* just itching to test it out . will be getting retuned. just wanted to test it out. is there any way to trick the car into pulling timing before I get it tuned ?? just for testing purpose.

i sprayed for the first time yesterday with a 75 shot.my timing is at 26.seemed ok to me.now you could put half unleaded racing fuel and 91 mixed to be safe.don't use leaded racing fuel, it will kill your oxygen sensors.

I think in the stickies, there's a how to for retarding timing with a capacitor. Over my head though.

NX Nitrous booster is good to use & safe. For a 10% to 20% increase in octane. I have used it for years & the best out there sold by Nitrous Express dealers. The MSD timing twister is also a great tool for using. It allows adjusting timing & will pull timing for what you set when nitrous is activated. Saves retuning for the track. Set back to stock after you leave. Almost all plug & play. Version sold for LS1 & LS2/LS6. Less the $300.00.

I wouldn't be too worried about spraying such a small shot on 28 degrees. My concern would be if the tune was leaned out to make max power. I like to throw a little extra fuel in the tune for N2O
