one guy in hot rod (may have ssen the article) stock a stock Pontiac 455, put in 13.5:1 compression slugs and rods, and used a 400 shot on methonal. that same engine only blew when later on when he switched to blown alky and he added 80% nitromethane.

I have to buy a fuel pump any way, so I think I am going to run meth. I have 160lb injectors with the BS3 so I should be fine....James gets to retune that thing, of which I am sure he is happy about. Big belt driven pump should do the trick which gives me a reason to put a motor plate on the car as well. So many projects with so little money.
Hopefully next year I will be running 100% methanol with a huge 2 stage dry kit. Time to max out those nitrous solenoids.

All meth with no gas burns too cool to separate oxygen molecule from nitrous. It takes the heat from gas plus methanol to create enough heat. All methanol & nitrous won't work as crazy as it sounds. Don't take my word get a book on nitrous it spell's this out. Thats why the motor stays on gas the nitrous uses a mix of methanol on the fuel side.
Nitrous won't release oxygen below a certain burn temp.

It has been done for years younger guys just don't know about it. Old guys have seen it for years. Look at any good nitrous book lots of info about it. Most guys don't want to add a extra fuel cell. Harris has the full fuel cell & pumps/regulator for about $500.00 then most places like NX has the teflon plungers or full solenoids for fuel side to work with methanol. No down side just more power & safer. I like the fuel cell Harris has for the battery area & move battery to the back.
