LS7 & Nitrous Hey Guys. Who all is spraying their LS7 out there? What kit are you using and how much are you spraying? I have a completely factory LS7 engine, with upgraded Katech Torquer camshaft and new retainers/springs. I will be using a wet plate nitrous kit. What is the maximum amount of spray I can safely inject into this engine, without any damage? Please advise.

Sorry, I must have just skimmed over your lead post, and been thinking of another thread... Anyway, over all HP seems to be in the 700 range. I know of one C6 Ls7 that blew going above that range with a wet hit. I think if you do some staging or progressive, and have a spot on tune with a fuel system to match, a 300rwhp shot is not out of the question. However, I would not personally try this with a wet hit and a plate kit (to much fuel in the intake tract, imo). Just depends on how big you really want to go. Maybe a DP is in order?

but i've been thinking of adding nitrous on my c5 427 (forged internals, ported 90/fast setup) 11 to 1 compression heads/cam car...im a nitrous noob. what would you add to it? a wet or dry kit? what would be considered "safe" for some extra power?

The fastest known C6 Z06 LS7 is running a dry hit, and in the 9's with mostly stock car. Check the vetteforum c6 zo6 section, I can't remember his online name, but his real name is Carlos and he is a sponsor. I don't have any hands on experiance with spraying the ls7, so he's the man in this regard, as he was first and has a pretty good following. setting up, at least the zo6 ls7 is a little different than normal dry set ups. if ya can't find him let me know and I'll get ya the info.

Hey Scott is this on your tahoe? because if it is you gotta remeber your tahoe is heavier and slower then a vette. With the same amount of spray you would be spaying it a lot longer at a time, putting more stress on the engine. You may not want to spray as much as the vette guys. thats just my thoughts, correct me if im wrong..

I understand the weight ratio of the vehicle, just trying to see what everyone else is safely running on this engine. If my calculations are correct, the timing should also be set back 7 degrees retard. Just wondering what everyone else is safely running out there with their engines.
