question about purge...

Default question about purge...

I have a ZEX purge kit that came with the car...and shouldnt one end of this be flared? how is this going to stay connected to the solenoid??

Most people will ditch that tube and go with a flexible line from a hardware store. There should be a compression fitting on that though. Just a little barrel that goes on the line, under the nut

the fitting is there...but even when i tightened it down (hand tight) it didnt seem like it would hold the line..

what size line should i get at the hardware store?

Are you using the ferrule? Its a small brass ring that slides on the tube and both ends have a taper sort of forming a spherical-trapazoidal shape. You need that in order to make a compression seal holding the tube in.
