Default Check engine light comes on

I got my 5177 NOS kit installed onmy car but now my check engine light comes on. the scanner says fuel bank one and fuel bank two are running lean? Any ideas on how to fix this or what maybe causing it. This started before i even sprayed the car

Sounds like your mass air may be dirty or you have a vacuum leak. If you run a k&n its likely oil has contaminated it. Get some electric contact cleaner and clean the mass. Usually with a vacuum leak you will have a bad idle but you can check with some carb cleaner around the base of the intake as i have changed a lot of those gaskets. when spraying it around their if the idle changes you have a leak. Also when doing this be very carfull to make sure the cleaner doesnt hit the header as i have seen many shop fires this way.

you to think about all of this it first came on when i was in the process of hooking up the nitrous and quit for the night and drove my car to the gas station. I realized that i hooked up the WOT switch and forgot to put back on the vaccum line for the throttle body. But that doesnt explain why time after time i get the light cleared and it keeps coming on. Ill try checking the intake manifold gasket and possibly seening if the maf is froze ill try a little of everything i dont even know for sure if the nitrous is even engauging

It could be coming from the ported MAF, it's design was intentional and it's not calibrated to take into account a change like you've made. Also, make sure you aren't getting unmetered air into your engine from anywhere that you took it all apart. It could be from not getting your intake track all put back on completely and getting air in that way, or from how you installed the nozzle as well.

Well i fixed it can't believe how stuiped it was but yeah my MAF was ported before i bought the kit. The whole time the F'ing injectors needed to have some injector cleaner run through them. I was the autozone while i was buying some sprak plugs i decided to try injector cleaner sure enough it worked and the car is idling fine and not stubbling all over the place on take off. Ha and my nitrous system wasnt even enguaging either. But all is fixed and well. car hauls ***** now. Thanks
