i know this thread is old but....... just sharing that i run tr6s gapped @ .033 with a 175shot with a stock shortblock, ls6 intake, and tr224 cam. i was having all sort of issues with colder plugs.

I run a tr6 on motor and a tr8 on a 150 shot. I run 20 degress of timing. I run about 106 octane. (mix a little 93 with 116). I think it is pretty safe tune up. I'm gonna run a tr7 plug for the 150 shot with straight c16. That way I can run the same plug for motor and spray. I don't like to work on car at track(lazzy I guess)
