Default HSW Plate on the Dyno

Well, I finally got my kit hooked up last weekend and dropped it off for tuning earlier this week and just picked the car up.

I went with a custom speed density tune and the car ended up making 405HP/385FTLBS. to the wheels on motor. I was very impressed with this considering my basic mods.

With the HSW recomended jetting for a 150 shot the car made 520HP/583FTLBS. to the wheels running extremely rich (10.2 AFR) so my tuner swapped the fuel jet and the AFR was spot on, but started having issues with the window switch not picking up a RPM signal and just ran out of time for the night. So I'll see what I can find out about the window switch and see if we can get her dialed in a little more. I would like to see 550 to the wheels, but 520 isn't bad (I just know she has more in her though)

I'll keep you guys updated with more results.

Oh yea, leaning it out some will pick up more HP for sure, and like was said don't get to greedy. A little greedy is ok, lol. Not bad gains for so rich and 200rwtq is great.

my af was extremely rich with my hsw plate kit also. First pull on a .052 nitrous .028 fuel i went below 10. I then used the interface put it to 85 shot and got it up to 10.1-2 area then moved it to a 75 then got it right at the 10.5 area basically. Thinking of using the interface to show 55-60 and then it should be at a 11.0-11.2. Tuner seemed to like the af where it was on the dyno jet

I actually have two tunes. My tuner first got me a nice N/A tune with an AFR of 12.8. Than, using EFILive, he tuned it for nitrous. EFILive has a new system for the F-body PCM that alows me to switch tunes on the fly. I have the HSW switch panel in my ashtray and had an extra switch I wasn't using so he wired that one to my PCM so with the flip of a switch it pulls timing and adds fuel to safely spray. I though it was pretty cool.

The EFI Live COS 5 will work on any of the LSx platform cars as far as I know. Beer is running the system on his C5.

Nor will it on the '97 Vettes, but it's a given that we know these basic facts. Hell, I couldn't ever find a tuner program at all for my '97.

It's the BMN from Harris' website. I've been so busy with work that I haven't had time to screw with it, and now it looks like we are fixing to get some more nasty weather so that puts a stop to any nitrous plans.

i understand the weather and work thing well thats the same switch i run i thought it was a bad crimp connection cause i could feal it cut out sometimes in the middle of a run

id stop and pull the top off check the light pull the fuse and put it back in and it would work fine so this winter when i put it up i yanked all the old wiring out and ran new and soderd everything this time wont know till spring but if you figure it out can you throw a shot out to me and let me know thanks peace
