I am going to be doing my first nitrous system & have a question on the blowdown tube.Do you have to use a blowdown tube if its just a street car?

If you plan on racing at the track and want to pass tech you will need a NHRA blow off fitting and blow down tube.

It's smart to have for general safety. If you have a blowout in the car, the sulfur they add to the N2O will bug the crap out of your lungs. I don't know what kind of car you have, but I'm pretty sure you only need a blowdown tube if the bottle is mounted in the passenger ( which in an F-body is the whole interior--unless you have a rear firewall)

They both pretty much covered it....needed for Tech purposes, and its nice to keep it outta the vehicle if it does pop during some mishap

If you ever saw a bottle blow , you would get 1 . If it goes in the car, it could put you out in seconds .its a easy fix.

Safety 1st , Track or Street .

Yeah, it's a nice safety precaution for not a lot of cash. I think I got mine from HSW for less than $30.
