There is a trade off of MPH vs. ET when talking about manuals vs. autos

Stick a auto in the car and the MPH will go down some but the ET and consistency get alot better.

Lock the converter up at 800' and you can keep your mph (atleast that's what I've been told)
I'm holding my Et's within .200 and my MPH within 2.
The manual is fun and to me a 10.0 manual car is a whole lot more bragging rights than a 10.0 automatic

9.53 @142.64 1.42 150 shot, Jl ws-6 2001 transam , Th400 10-18-08 QTP EFI quick 8 @ Englishtown

Track prep was aboslute garbage, not to the fault of QTP or reallly etown, there was so many street tire cars there, and the impala/caprice guys were dumping about 7 gallons of fluid on teh track every other run, so with the amount of cleanup, amount of street tires being run, and the lack of any big tire cars to put some runner down, there just wasn't any groove being layed down to run in. Every run I ran, I didn't see any groove down the track at all, it was hard to even line the car up, the whole track was dull/grooveless I know from the 1.37 it ran the last run @ lvd last time I was there that with the changes we made, it should have been in the 1.35 range or better, but I can't do it on no prep.

I am 100% the car has a 9.4 and probably a 9.3 in it, the top end gains that have been found are certainly enough to get it to that range, mph @ the 1/8th is there for it too, problem is that yesterday the 330 times were a tenth and a half off from what they were at lvd, and the rest of the runs were .3 faster.

Oh well, at least I know when I take it back out next year, I have the power situation in good shape. If I get a glide in it (Brad we need to talk) that will soften the hit a bit and should help get it hooked too

That statement I will agree with, but being a racer you'll agree with:

If you want to work on your car/fix your car leave a manual tranny in it. If you want to race your car put an automatic in it.

Now liberty/lenco/bruno type manual's don't count, that's a whole different beast, and one I'd like to put in my car, but it's the chopping teh floorboard out and making it removable for the tranny maintenance that those require that scares me.

Update, 11.63@115--1.62--270 shot--maggiemike--98 Z28 4l60e--10/26/08

I didn't realize until afterwards that the bottle was basically empty. Bummer, I really wanted to get some good numbers on the juice. I messed around with it too much on the 2 hour drive up to the track I guess LOL but hey, at least I was able to stay ahead of the 400+whp rx-7 from a 75 roll and he traps ~125

Not much of an update, but pleas if you could.

I did do this with the exhaust on the car too, whereas the last time I ran it I had it off, so the exhuast didn't kill the car, which was nice to see.

Sucks because last time I ran the car it was running 1.35 to 1.37 60 foot's, starting line was rubbish at best, I think I probably could have hooked on the fresh asphalt in front of my house a TON better then I did at the track that day. God damn caprice/impala day, between the street tires and every other car dumping 7 gallons of fluid on the track, and there being not a single big tire car there putting any rubber down the groove was non-existant.

9.06 @ 152 -- 1.41 -- 350 shot -- ATVracr -- 99' Formula -- Glide -- 11/08

Still working on bringing the N20 in sooner. These little 275 radials are tricky.
Last week it spins 100' ...... this week we have it to soft.

This TERD just doesnt want to go 8's

Dam, almost there!
I feel your pain. I'm running 275's also and spin way out there if I try to use much nitrous at all off the line.
I'm ordering slicks today just so I can hammer it off the line to see what it'll do.
