Default Help me Put Together my Direct Port

Ok, I'm trying to put together a direct port and need a little guidance. I already have a -6an feed line, these NOS nozzles:

These distribution minus the tube nuts:

Here's how I have it drawn out and would like some input.

Questions I have:

1. I looked up the part number (http://www.holley.com/16433-8NOS.asp) for the compression fittings off of the distribution blocks. NOS only sells the complete fitting. All I need is the actualy nut part. Anyone know the size of them and a link to where I could find them?

2. I need ferrules. What size should I use?

3. I have no idea how to hook up the fuel side. I'm guessing I'm going to T them together and then run them to the regulator? I don't know where / what to use to hook up a fuel filter. I was trying to look at pictures of installed direct ports, but they usually didn't show much. This is going to be going on a 93 Z28 so any help would be greatly appreciated.

4. I know T fittings aren't optimal, but I should be able to get pretty much all of these fittings free from work. What are the benefits of a Y vs. a T fitting? Are they worth paying for?

5. Does fitting material make a difference? What should I look for in particular at work?

6. I have a pretty decent nitrous book that I'm using as reference. It has a picture of two bottles connected by one line at the fittings between the shut off valves and the bottles. It says, "It equalizes pressure." I haven't seen anyone run a setup like this on here. Comments? Does it work or is it not worth it?

I know that's a lot of questions, but thanks for taking the time to read it.

All I need is the actualy nut part. Anyone know the size of them and a link to where I could find them? Best advice I could give here would be to take the line/nozzles with you down to you local hardware store and start comparing. I'm not using the NOS nozzles, so I can't give you anything exact, sorry. But your local hardware store should have what you need. Your local parts store might actually have them, but they'll probably be behind the counter FWIW

2. I need ferrules. What size should I use? Depends on the size line you use. Again, just take piece of line with you down to the hardware store and see what work, they should be pretty specific

I may have missed it, but how are you going about getting fuel? Also, are you running high or low pressure, because they take different filters

4. I know T fittings aren't optimal, but I should be able to get pretty much all of these fittings free from work. What are the benefits of a Y vs. a T fitting? Are they worth paying for? Its the difference of running into a wall or a detour. I'd go ahead and get y's

5. Does fitting material make a difference? What should I look for in particular at work? If its brass, stay brass

Don't think it'd be worth it, as soon as you open the bottles, with the way you have it drawn, this will happen anyway

I know that's a lot of questions, but thanks for taking the time to read it.

Sorry, know its not the details you'd like...but its something.

At least thanks for helping.

1. That was my back up plan. I'll dig around at work and see what I can find.

2. I'll be using 3/16th OD tubing. Inside a 1/8th tube. I'm just not sure of the clearance that's necessary?

3. I'd like to run a low pressure secondary fuel cell, but I can't afford it right now. I might just wait to put it on there until I can. I'm worried about running such a small fuel jet with a high pressure system. If I do hook it up with the high pressure system how would I go about doing so?

4. I guess I'll shell out the $40 or so to get the Y fittings. I haven't checked out out maintenence department to see what fittings they actually have down there.

5. Sounds good.

6. Good point.
