Default Transmission and rear end with 75-125 shot

I have been searching for a while and not found the answer to my question...If I was to spray a stock ls1 with a 75-125 shot, would upgrading the transmission or rear end in a M6 car be necessary? I would be running street tires. Would the clutch also need to be upgraded to handle the extra torque and hp?

there are a bunch of people that run stock tranny and clutch with a small shot like you are looking at...thats not to say that it wont break...make sure you have the proper safety equipment for your nitrous setup...like everyone says, a stock rearend with a sticky tire 9 time out of 10 doesnt end good even with stock power (dont know if you have a better rear)...also make sure you have a drive shaft safety loop and look into getting a stronger driveshaft...a better clutch and tranny wouldnt hurt, but i believe you should be ok depending on your other mods...but i could be wrong, i dont claim to know everything

sticky tires+5500 dumps= broken differential. I've been through a few 10 bolts, and trashed a stock T-56 in my LT1 on a 150 shot. It's not if, but when. You could just race Supra style, and it would probably last for a while.

Dead hooks are not your friend when you have stock parts.

I've got a couple of 1.7 60 ft times out of my stock rear with 315 drag radials. Just don't side step the clutch at 4k and you should be okay for now.

Tranny should take it no problem. Clutch may start slipping depends how you drive. Rearend will be ok again depending on how you drive. If your dumping the clutch your cutting out the life expectancy for both. If your out cruising, roll racing, taking it easy out of the whole then whacking it, my guess is that u'll be fine.

i started going to the track last year(feb-june) and made probably 60-80 passes total. pretty much all stock ss running 13.5 na with 2.1-2.2 60's on 245/35/20's street tires most of the time.
out of those passes i sprayed maybe 50-65 timesdown the track with different combinations of hp from 40-135 dry.
put a lot of miles(6-7k over 3 months) on the car during the summer and now the rear is ready to go anytime. did a lot of freeway wot's at the time and the stock trans converter was bad(what i think). changed out the trans to an RPM level 5 with a TCI 3000 converter, then the rear was very iffy a couple of weeks later. waiting on an s60 now.
maybe you'll get lucky but mine lasted pretty much what i expected. i was babying it on the spray and held off the breakage but it finally came.
so the answer is to go ahead and order your rear now and have it ready.

I just run the WOT switch mounted onthe throttle body with a small 75 shot. I have crappy street tires and 1st and 2nd just frys the tires. I would think you are ok till you get some good slicks and hook up.
