Default Help

Ok, I am going to Try to put this all down clearly.

Im trying to maintain preasure on a nitrous bottle with a nitrogen backup bottle with a 1000# regulator on it.

I want to feed the nitrogen on top of my nitrous using the gauge port on my nitrious valve. Here is the BIG question. Does the gauge port read preasure through the siphon tube, or does it get preasure from the top of the bottle?

I dont know exactly how the valve is configured and I do not have a drawing that shows me the workings of the valve.

I did not want the nitrogen to be flowing down the tube , I want it on top of the liquid nitrous. I am afraid if it has to flow down the tube it will screw up the liquid flow.

I am a FI guy, but my budy has a ford ranger with a 454 and 2- 150 shots on it.I have all the bottles and regulators to do this and we are trying to get away from the bottle heaters and all that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

take the valve out of the bottle.....then look at the base of the valve. If there is only the single port that the siphon tube goes into, the pressure port access the siphon tube. If you have a secondary port this accesses the pressure dome above the liquid. The push system feed must access the pressure above the liquid to work properly.

Thanks for the help. I have been doing some more digging, and have figured out that all valves are not the same.

So you are right, I just need to pull the valve and look.

Thanks again

Well, the valves we have are not all the same. Some dont even have a port for a gauge. Some only show preasure at the gauge if the valve is open. I assume if they only show preasure with an open valve then they are pulling from the siphon tube.

I have seen some bottles the show preasure from the gauge port when the valve is closed. That must be the type of valve I need.

Do you have any that would be good for this aplication, or posibley desighned for this?

The NX 45* valve has 2 built in ports...one will work with the push, the other ports can be used for any other item.
