Default Cam ?

What characteristics would a good nitrous cam have. More ext duration than intake and how about overlap?

I'm pretty sure a cam will make a hell of a lot difference. But to answer that question I see a lot of people saying TSP MS3 is a good one. Im looking into that cam myself.

Also how would the perfomance of a "nitrous style" cam be off the juce vs on.

I would say that you should pick a cam that has good driveability (or atleast something you can handle) and makes good power off the juice. Because you want something that makes good power 75% of the time while your not spraying.

Unless this is a track car then disregard that.

i just spec'd my own can relatively designed for nitrous and its a bit smaller than the ms3 will give me a ton of middle and top end power...power band fom about 2200-7000, and its 23x/23x 6xx/5xx on a 113+2 lsa nitrous like a wider lsa to keep the cylinder pressure up a bit longer to burn all the extra fuel and nitrous and also a longer exhaust duration to expell all the extra gases. ms3 is a great cam for spray but street manners for a daily driver might be a little rough. i would give out my specs but i want to run it on the dyno first before i give away any info...make sure it performs as well as i and Jeff at TR think it will

in a nitrous race motor spraying a 300 shot. yes it will. there is alot more pressure involved there where the overlap is more crucial. on a smaller shot it wont make that much of a difference, so why put a true n2o cam in when 90% of the time you will be adversely affected by it because it is designed different than a n/a cam? pick a cam that makes great power n/a and it will still make great power on the n2o as well.

and the ms3 was designed for n/a max effort with stock heads.
