Default Just curious. Please help.

Well I recently purchased a 2001 SS. Only mods to it are slp lid, slp maf, smooth bellow (all were on the car when i bought it). I plan to make the car fast, and I am having trouble deciding on the route i should take. FI or Nitrous, or a mixture of both. My questions for you guys with experience and knowledge beyond my own is this.

What would I be expecting to look at to be able to safely run a large shot consistantly? I'm thinking 300shot or so. Internal work? Which type of kit? Multiple stages?

I really don't have any experience with nitrous, so please just help me realize what I would be getting myself into to be able to run a 300shot or more on my ls1. Thanks.

PS. I have been lurking and reading many posts about nitrous, I just figured I would ask because it pertains to me!

First off, keep up the reading, there is a lot to learn. i would personally think about taking your time and starting off at a 150 shot. A 300 shot requires MANY costly modifications, most of which being a new forged long block. The kit itself will be fairly expensive as you will want a lot of supporting devices in addition to the kit. I would go with a wet or dry direct port setup for the actual 300 shot. As i said before if you have never used nitrous, dont jump right into that large of a shot. You would basically need to rebuild that entire car just to take it. start off small, learn and then go bigger.
