Default Those with nano.........how does it work??

Haven't got my nano in yet, but I was very curious to see how good it works. Wondered if you could tell a difference even with a full bottle, or does nano just help out when your bottle is getting lower.

I run most of the time on 1/8 mile tracks.

Do you think the nano will help me much on the short tracks or just on a 1/4 track.

I haven't read much from those who have it, so I was just wondering what to expect.

I have one. It is basically a pressure regulator. It does the same thing as your bottle heater, accept it is more accurate and is more efficient. It displaces nitrogen into the N2O tank to keep the PSI at the optimium level. It eliminates the need for a bottle heater. It is a great mod if you have the money. It will help on short tracks, but it is more benificial on longer tracks where you would spray for an extended period of time. The reason is that w/ a bottle heater the Nitrous pressure is regulated at the begining of the run and slowly drops throughout the run because N2O is being released from the bottle, but the gas stays at the same temperature thus doesn't expand (like it would between runs when it has adequete time to be heated by the bottle heater). Thus you might start a run with 1100 psi, and end up with 750-800 if you run a big shot. This means that towards the end of the run less nitrous will be used, resulting in less HP. With the nano system, the pressure is regulated throughout the run, so this is not an issue. Hope that helped.

Also allows you to go longer between refills and utilize your entire N2O. W/ a bottle heater, the amount that the gas can expand due to temperature is limited because you don't want a bottle that is at 200 degrees. So you only use about 2/3 of the bottle before needing a refill.

That is about what i was thinking. I think it will be more of a conveniance than any thing else. First few runs are great with my current setup, but when the bottle get down to less than 4 lbs it is hard to get much out of it.

Yea, but for the cost of an additional bottle, mounting hardware, 2 bottle heaters, you are almost there. For another $200 you could have the nano. Plus, there are performance benifits. Obviously, a luxury item and not one that is necessary.

hey you could build your own setup like i did. 117ci /4500 psi paintball tank with an adjustable reg that goes up to 1000 psi. buy a checkvalve and install it in the right bottle valve and youre set.

cost me maybe 250 bucks.

If your running the 1/4 i think it would help a lot more. I haven't seen that the pressure drops a lot during 1/8th passes. I only spray 100 shot right now though. One reason i got the nano is for when I start spraying a lot.

At the track I have time to sit and let the bottle warm up and get everything ready. But If I am playing on the street it would be nice to know that the pressure is always exactly where I want it.

ill have to get a picture set together. I will list on the following things you need:

1. Bottle valve with a push port that goes to the bottle and not into the nitrous stream
2. Check valve
3. Nitrous line
4. roughly 117 ci tank that fills with 4500 psi will be enough for a 10lb bottle

The tank needs to either have an adjustable regulator, or an output that will equal your bottle pressure.

If the remote gauge is on the mainline there is no reason why it should not work. The NANO uses a 1/8"NPT port on the bottle though. I had to remove my "Bottle Gauge" to put the NANO check valve in on the bottle (Dynotune Bottle has one accessory port).

I have a nx and zex bottle. I was wondering when the nitrous runs out would my pressure gauge show it by reading low or will it read the same because of the pressure from the air tank.

It will read what the regulated NANO pressure is, or the bottle pressure if the NANO pressure is lower than the Bottle Pressure (there is a check valve on the Bottle between the NANO and the bottle).

Best way to tell how much Nitrous is left would be to weigh the bottle. After your first bottle though, you should have a feel for how many runs you can get.

The Trick Performance gauge can keep track of usage tooonce programmed.
