Default Fuel pump

I'm about to install a nitrous kit on my car and was wondering if I need to upgrade the pump or not. I made 397 whp and 377 wtrq cam only and would like to spray a 150 shot on it but I was going to start with a 100 shot. Should I wait to get a fuel pump before I do anything or should I be ok? Anybody got any insight on this? I searched but didn't find what I was looking for. I appreciate any and all help you guys could give me.

Well if I can get away without doing it then there's no need to spend the extra money. You know what I mean? I know its not much but I don't want to spend more than I have to. But I don't want to blow it up either.

Yes you will need one. You will have to fudge the tune, or run a big fuel pill to account for the drop in pressure. You can get a Racetronix kit for cheap and it installs in a snap.

just get the racetronics kit- it is simply plug and play- especially if you are doing the job. If you are not doing it then whoever puts it in will appreciate you getting the racetronics kit.

I am waiting to put all the stuff on my car for this exact reason- fuel pump. I have everything else.

My pump maxed out at 400hp on a 100 shot so I dropped the Walbro 255 and no problems after that.

Hey rock, I would get a new pump. I have similar numbers to you but i already have a 100 shot setup. I have taken the bottle out until i install the new clutch and pump. Then i'll be able to spray

Check out HSW for the Racetronic kits. i would do a pump. A couple write ups on fuel system upgrading in my web site. Also, the math for figuring when you need to upgrade based on HP needs.
