Default Nitrous Help, Dash Removal

Did you all remove the dash to punch holes in the fire wall? I am running the nitrous line right now and i am just wondering how you do it or if that is what you did. Thanks.

i ran mine under the car next to the fuel lines and came up behind the motor. I drilled a hole in the firewall somewhere near and above the gas petal (to the left) for my wiring and such

If you pull the panel out from under the glove box, you can run wires/line through an existing hole. It is under the PCM, about 1.5" in diameter, and has a grommet. I just made a nice slit in the grommet for the line, and another for the 10,000 wires I have running through.

If you have a "grabber claw", you can fish the wires up by the PCM without pulling it. After you get the wires through and such, you can put wire loom on them and tuck 'em behind the PCM, never to be seen again.

I don't think it's nhra legal to have the nitrous lines going inside the car is it? or was that just fuel?

either way why not just run it under the car?

I use to think the same.. so not sure.. if someone has NHRA book, plz inform.

But I would say run them under the car... right along fuel lines, and up rear of motor..
Like said above...

I dont think its a great idea to run a nitrous line inside your car.
IMO>..

Great chance of passing out from the gas.

Mine burst inside the cabin, and emptied a whole bottle of N20 into my cabin right before I made a pass. Didnt do ****. No dizziness or other effects, and no smell to speak of. IT's alot easier to run it inside the car, but I would have to agree that it is ultimately better to run it underneath

You can run it inside the car... But do it right the 1st time...
It is much easier to run outside of the car then inside...
In the back, you have the holes for it... 4 that are built right into the car frame..
mod the rubber grommets up and bam... You are done... No carpet pulling, nothing...
clean install...

But if you want to take twice the time to run it inside, hit it up.

I'd much rather take out a few philips screws then jack the car up, get jackstands, get on my back and start trying to route the hose and attach it to the underside of the car without hanging and all that ****. Ive done it bothw ays, and inside is way easier IMO

I did mine outside but I can see inside would be easier.

why not run the line from the trunk....through the driveshaft, into the tranny, out into the motor, through the crank, and out the front of the block.....straight to your noids? i say nitrous lines go inside when hiding a kit, outside if you dont give a ****. if you are going with a tunny mount why not keep it inside, but there are several frame holes to sneak a nitrous line outside without much work.

then i would need a remote bottle opener. I like the bottle sitting on the tunnel in the back. It looks good especially with the bracket that my friend made. It was really easy to run the lines in the car. I made sure i stuck them to the side where people's feet are not. Plus ill just tell them not to jab their feet into the ground

I had to pull my interior completely out so I just ran it inside the car and once the roll bar is in then it will all be nice and hidden. Electrical lines, nitrous lines, and pneumatic lines.

Took me about 15 minutes to run my line through a slit on my hump, under the passenger side rear seat, along the passenger side (including removing the plastic along the doorway), and up through the firewall. I had to do it twice due to a leaky crimp.
