Default How reliable are nitrous cars?

ok well my car has shorties(yea i know), no cats and a catback exhaust on it. well im buying an intake for it and was wondering how hard a 100 shot would be on this motor. I tend to be hard on my cars but i think i would be all right lets say a bottle a week or 2. the car has 73000 miles on it.

Id spray the hell out of it. Just make sure if you have the proper saftey equipment. Window switch, WOT switch, colder plugs, If its a wet kit then a FPSS or dry make sure your injectors can handle the shot your looking at. I would and did spray the hell out of mine untill it went lean and put a dime size hole in cylinder 5 and 7. Guess i should have taken my own advice and gotten a FPSS.

nitrous is as safe as the person who is using it, just dont pass up on the safety pieces... if something happens because you didnt want to spend a couple hundred you'll kick yourself! i'd start saving for the rear, too

Isn't there a saying like "Nitrous is like a hot girl with herpes, you want to hit it. But are afraid of the consequences." Something to that nature, but its so very true. I would get all the safety things i needed to make sure it works fine, then save up for tranny or rear end, whichever goes first. And they will go...

i'd be ready for a new rear and trans. safeties and a good tune should last a while. i have a lot of safeties and my ls1 has been forgiving of me.
you might not know this, but you're lieing to yourself if you think you'll stay at a 100 shot. then you're going to want to go more cubes and forged to spray a big shot. it sucks man...i'd tell you not to even start spraying because you'll love it...maybe you get lucky and can go forced induction and get out of nitrous. if you can't..chances are you're going to be addicted. **** this hasn't been cheap.
