Default Pump Question

In the near future im looking to possibly add a 150 wet shot...with my setup would a racetronix kit be enough or should i upgrade to something bigger?

Current setup is

Rebuild Engine (approx 7000miles on it,i gapped the rings to handle a 175 shot according to the sheet i got with the pistons) with Diamond Forged Pistons -2cc,Stock Rods(ARP Rod Bolts) and Crank
MS3 Cam
Patriot Stage 2 LS1 heads
Pacesetter Long Tubes,ORY,GMMG
Currently on Stock Injectors (have 42#'s that will go in)
Stock Fuel Pump,MAF,TB
LS6 Intake
TR6 Plugs
LS7/LS2 Clutch/Flywheel Combo

The Racetronix system will net you fueling capable of supporting 650-700rwhp. IF you dont plan on making more than 700hp on nitrous then yuo will fine. IF you plan on making more than that then a dedicated system would be your best bet.

That combo should put you in the 450-460 rwhp range NA and around 600 on the 150 shot. The racetronix kit will be enough to support that. 42 lb injectors are obviously as must and i see you already have them. If you run the system off of stock fuel rails you are probably going to see a pretty decent drop in pressure and consequently a lean spike. how big, i cant really say, you might just have to wait and see. Your options would be going with a better set of fuel rails like the FAST, or picking up a dedicated fuel system.

Wow, I have almost the same stuff on my car as you do. Same pistons, heads, headers,I have a comp cam. I'm wanting to add only 150 nitrious shot. Have you decided on a system yet? I was thinking about the NOS 5168 kit. Its a wet kit. How fast are you planning on going?

Its kind of funny that I have a NOS 90mm plate kit with the Racetronics pump and hotwire kit and 42# injectors and my car is out of fuel on a 100 shot. It put down 440/400 on motor and 585/592 on 100hp jets. Im extremely happy with the gains but the A/F ratio is around 12.5 which is higher than I would like. Im not quite sure what the problem is but Im leaning towards the stock fuel rails.

Thanks for the replies Chris and Mike!

the car currently put down 435rwhp and 420 rwtq maxing out the stock injectors.. but my goal for the car is to have around 600rwhp on the spray. As for kits i was looking into one of the HSW wet kits wether, just the nozzle kit or the plate kit. And as for how fast, just going to have to wait and see! haha

Let me know if you have any questions about them, either kit will work well with your setup. Personally i would go with the better distribution of the plate kit.
